I always suggest that mom picks out her outfit first and then build the rest of the family's outfits off of hers. I say this because moms probably most nervous and stressed about this session and she should feel stunning in what she wears.

Dress it up! Dresses are the most flattering for woman and photograph beautifully. Long dresses with movement add an extra touch elegance to your photos!
Consider softer fabrics like chiffon or tulle for an extra soft and romantic feel.
Adding in a statement accessory or two (like a hat or statement piece of jewelry) is a great way to finish the look and photographs beautifully.
